Benefits of creating a group
In IPlytics you are able to create customized groups of Companies for use in searches for example. You can select the company aggregation of your choice (Ultimate Owner, Current Assignee etc.) and create these customized groups simply and easily within the platform.
How to create a Group
Here we look at the steps to create a customized Group whether that consists of one Company or a selection of Companies.
From within a search, select the search field Ultimate Owner, Current Assignee etc.
Next, select the 'three dot' icon outlined above, then select the 'Group' icon as shown here:
In the next window, select 'Create Group'.
You are then able to create customized groups based on your requirements. An example, for creating a company group based on 'Siemens' and 'Siemens Energy' can be seen below.
1) Search for the entities you want to add to your group,
2) Tick to make your selections,
3) Name your custom Group
4) Select 'Create New Group'.
The customized group is then visible and active and can be found via the 'Group' icon in any search.
Adding the group to a search
To add the customized Group to a search, select the search field Ultimate Owner, Current Assignee etc. and select the Group icon.
Next, select the 'three dot' icon outlined above, then select the 'Group' icon as shown here:
In the next window, the IPlytics platform opens the overview of the customized groups. Search for the group name. Here we're looking for 'Siemens and Siemens Energy' which is the group we created above. Note that 'Active' groups will show at the top of the list in green:
When a customized group is greyed out it means it has been disabled. The button to the right of the group will show as follows:
You can 'activate' a disabled group, by hovering over the 'disabled' button and clicking to activate it:
