Overview
What data delivery options are available?
Overview
LexisNexis® Standards Essential Patent Data is designed to support integration into your own research and analytics environment.
Standards and Contributions, the first dataset in the Standards Essential Patent Data family, is intended to be delivered as a downloadable data product rather than a hosted analytics platform — putting the structured data directly in your hands to combine with your own systems and workflows.
What data delivery options are available?
Standards and Contributions is planned to be made available via:
- Databricks: for organizations that want to access the dataset directly within their existing Databricks environment.
- Delta Sharing: for organizations that want to receive the dataset as a shared, downloadable data product without requiring a Databricks account.
What's included
The dataset is delivered as four connected tables:
- standard
- standard_revision
- contribution
- meeting_attendance
Full field-level definitions (column names, data types, keys, nullable status, and descriptions) and representative data examples are maintained in a separate Schema Definition (Data Dictionary) document available upon request. Please reach out to us here if you would like this.
Licensing
Standards and Contributions and Declarations are licensed and sold as separate datasets. Customers who license both will be able to join them together.
Do I need the LexisNexis® IPlytics™ platform to use this data?
No, as Standards and Contributions is a standalone structured dataset. Customers who want full SEP essentiality analysis, proprietary indicators such as Essentiality Scores, or complete undeclared-landscape views should use the IPlytics platform alongside this dataset.
If you have further questions please reach out to a member of the team. Complete this form and we'll be in touch shortly.
