What is a patent reassignment?
A patent reassignment is an agreement for the owner of a patent transfer, sell or give away, his or her interest to an assignee.
The assignee appears on the cover page of a patent and references who owns the patent rights. If there is no assignee, it can be assumed that the inventors own the patent rights.
