How to edit your report to add organisations, technologies and any report parameters
Why is the edit icon not showing for me?
How to edit your report to add organisations, technologies and any report parameters
The edit icon will make a copy of any report by including the same parameters (for example, the organisations / technologies that are initially part of the report) and take them into a new report. You can then decide to run a new version of the original report, or to amend the parameters for example, edit the organisations or technologies of the report.
- You will find the report 'Edit' icon at the top right of any report, shown below in blue:
- and on the 'My History' page (accessed via the clock icon above) under the 'Actions' header in the middle:
The icon will copy the parameters of the report into the report generation page so that you can then edit the parameters of the report as you wish.
Note that the pencil icon shown below in the report name (and on hovering over the report name in 'My History'), simply allows you to edit the name of the report.
To copy and edit the report parameters:
- Click the edit report parameters icon (red square icon shown above).
- This will take you to the parameters of the report. At this point, all of the organisations or technologies from your initial report will be included.
- You now have the opportunity to add or remove organisations/technologies.
- Click 'Next' to generate a new report
Tip: Use the edit icon to re-run reports with real-time and updated data
Why is the edit icon not showing for me?
Only the owner of a report has permission to edit reports. For example, if a report has been shared from another user, there is no option to edit the report via the 'stacked pages' icon.
Similarly, if it is a landscape report, you will not have the 'edit report parameters' icon. You will just be required to run the landscape report again.
