Exporting an Analysis to PowerPoint in PatentSight Default Format
Create or open an existing workbook you want to export to PowerPoint. Instead of exporting an entire workbook.
Due to space constraints in PowerPoint, it is recommended to limit the number of widgets in a single sheet to a maximum of four.
You can name your widgets with a desired title. Widgets without title will be given default names.
|
|
You can edit your charts according to your preference by adding color for different owners/attributes and display the values too. |
Export your analysis:
Click on Export in the menu bar. Select “Export Presentation”. |
|
Select whether you want to export the entire workbook or just the selected sheet or even just the individual widget/ chart. |
|
Select your preferred PowerPoint format.
Select your mode based on the PatentSight subscription.
Click on the export button to start the Export. |
Review the export
Each sheet from your workbook will be exported as one slide in PowerPoint:
The default PatentSight export format features text in Lato font, titles in bold & black, and the LexisNexis logo in the bottom left corner of each slide.
The titles of the sheets are used as slide titles
|
|
Widget titles are exported as chart titles
The footer contains information of the user account from where the export was proceed. |
|
The notes section provides details like the search query, filter and sorting options. |
Presentation Export Mode
We have two more export modes in PatentSight – Editable charts and Static Images. The availability of these options depends on your subscription.
Editable Charts: Widgets will be exported as customizable charts. The underlying data will be embedded in an excel format. This is a paid feature. |
|
Static Images: Captures images of charts and tables as they appear in PatentSight. The underlying data in Excel format will be available for each image. |
How to Edit the file exported
You can shift the position of the legend, post export. |
|
You can also change the color of the chart elements (bubbles/ columns etc.) and font size of the text. |
Note:
Since lengthy text will be cropped in the export, we recommend using short names where applicable (e.g. "Title" instead of "Path and title" for Technology Clusters.)
Right-click the chart to access the underlying excel data |
Widgets like the Result List will be exported as screenshot (right) with an additional table (left) and embedded Excel data (bottom):
Double click on the excel file to access the embedded data. |
