You can generate reports in PatentAdvisor that provide guidance for proceeding with your case based on examiner statistics. These reports can be exported and shared with colleagues.
Examiner Reports
Search for an examiner and go to the Examiner Dashboard.
In the top right corner of the dashboard, click on the PDF icon to export the Examiner Report.
The Examiner Report will provide an executive summary, containing detailed guidance on the examiner’s behavior, as well as their examiner’s ETA, allowance rate, and additional statistics. This report can be shared with colleagues for collaboration on cases involving this examiner.
Application Reports
Application Reports provide procedural guidance on a specific application, based on the examiner’s behavior and statistics. The reports also provide insight on the progress of the application compared to the examiner’s average, in both time and office actions, as well as detailed records of the application process to-date. The Application Reports can be downloaded and shared with colleagues for collaboration on a case.
Application Reports can be found in two locations: QuickPAIR and the PatentAdvisor Extension.
To download the Application Report from QuickPAIR, from the home screen, search for the application number in QuickPAIR.
You will see the search results in QuickPAIR. To download the Application Report, click the PDF icon in the top right corner above the results.
To download the Application Report from the PatentAdvisor Extension:
Click on Browser Extension in the menu bar on the top of the home screen.
You will have the option to access the Extension in the Patent Center or Private PAIR.
You will need to download the extension on your first visit. You can choose to stay logged in by selecting “Auto Login.” This will provide a seamless experience and continuous access to the extension.
Select the USPTO website you would like to visit and search for your application of interest. When viewing your Application Data you will see the Extension enabled. The extension brings PatentAdvisor statistics, such as ETA, directly to PAIR and the Patent Center. Below is a preview of the Patent Center with the extension toggled on. Click Application Report to download the report.
